ABOUT US

Since January 2005, SBASCH has spent nearly £14000 on communication aids and other resources that are used by individual adults and children and also by the stroke communication groups that we support within the SLT department.    It is important to remember that communication aids are only appropriate for people with certain specific abilities and disabilities.  There are other means of support which also enable people to express themselves and to be understood, and SBASCH aims to cover the widest possible field of enabling communication.SBASCH has also spent funds on social events and outings, books, software, and therapy resources for both the Pediatric and the Adult teams in the south and mid Bucks area.  We also maintain and develop one of the gardens at Amersham Hospital established in memory of several former patients and supporters of SBASCH.
